They indeed assist site safety by providing a non-vehicular access point when installed adjacent to automated vehicle security gate systems, such as cantilever sliding gates and swing gates.
Gate Finish & Locks
The Civiltec Pedestrian Swing Gate System has been developed for sites requiring dependable pedestrian control point with a strong physical security presence.
By combining heavy-duty construction with your choice of gate finishes, product reliability and low maintenance are key features of Civiltec’s pedestrian gate systems. The gates can be made to order with either a hot dip galvanised finish for those more corrosive environments, or a pre-galvanised steel and powder coat paint finish.
There is also considerable flexibility in door lock hardware available, this being electric strike, mortice handle, keypad, push-bar, or the reliable magnetic locking system.
All Civiltec pedestrian gates are installed with heavy-duty outdoor rated pneumatic door closers.

Automated Pedestrian Gate Access
Our pedestrian swing gate system may be reliably automated with actuator arms to enhance accessibility for the access and egress of large parcels, toolboxes, and push trolleys whereby the pedestrian gate opening needs to be maintained.
This automation ability is also specifically important for wheelchair and disabled access. In these cases, control of the automation may be via radio frequency, access control cards, button, or a combination.
