The Civiltec Cantilever Sliding Gate System uses a free-to-air gate leaf design, eliminating the need for trolley wheel tracks, across-driveway excavation and disruptive associated civil works.
A fully supported back rail bolted upon a well-engineered concrete foundation provides a reliable basis for smooth, unencumbered gate leaf movement. Our low centre of gravity back rail design enables the lowest rolling resistance actuation in the industry. This means that gate motors easily propel faster and ultimately last far longer in service.
Robust modular construction
The clever modular design of the Civiltec cantilever slider means installation can be completed quickly and with little disruption to your entry or exit point.
The modules consist of the main support tower, the gate leaf, the gate back rail and the end post. When bolted together, the main tower and back rail form the main support and rolling platform for the gate leaf. The engineered gate foundation provides the counterbalance for the free-in-air gate leaf in the closed position.

Quality componentry makes the difference
The Civiltec cantilever sliding gate is specifically designed for automation, and so is its vital componentry.
An industrial three-phase 1.1Kw 100% duty cycle motor and industrial gearbox are its engine room. A sophisticated, programmed PLC, quality frequency invertor and proximity sensors mean that the gate is reliably controllable and adjustable by Civiltec to cater for your site requirements.
All gate controls are mounted in an elevated position within the tower and behind a key lockable full length steel door. The gate has an easy-to-use, and infinitely adjustable, ratchet manual release handle. Indeed, all the vital electronics are safely installed high-and-dry in our lockable IP56 rated electrical cabinet.
All Civiltec electrical componentry is built by our own electrical tradesmen to ensure the highest levels of reliability and serviceability of your gate system.
Safety-focused industrial automation
Civiltec’s design philosophy places critical emphasis on proactive gate safety. The supplied cantilever sliding gate specification includes three vertical and horizontal photo-electric beams, two vehicle safety loops, a tower pinch point safety shield, a high visibility strobe light, an audible buzzer/piezo safety device and UV-stabilised safety signage. We also provide a safety fence to protect people from the significant pinch point area of the back rail.
It’s important to note that photo-electric beam sets are primarily designed for pedestrian safety and should not be used for vehicle and pedestrian safety alone. Inductive loops provide the most reliable vehicle detection.
